Adrienne Schertz Bahner

Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio

Major: Strategic Communications and General Business

Currently: I have been living in Cincinnati since graduating from THE Ohio State University in 2015 with my degree in Strategic Communications and Business. I work for Kroger Precision Marketing which is Kroger's online media platform where we capture loyalty card data from shoppers and re-target those households through media outlets like Pinterest, Email, Facebook, and Instagram. I am lucky enough to have clients in Chicago so I can see family and friends while I am in town! Summer of 2019 was an exciting one as I married Trevor, my now husband, hence the last name change from Schertz to Bahner!

Involvements: Sport and Wellness Scholar program, Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority, Buckeye Leadership Fellows Program

Honors/Leadership: SPINX Senior Honorary, KKG President, Registrar, Houseboard Trustee

Sports: Marathon Finisher: Columbus, Naperville, Boston

Impact of RAK Scholarship: The RAK scholarship started with receiving an award 2011 but has turned into so much more than I ever could have imagined. I was welcomed to a community that feels like family. I always loved meeting those people who grew up with Rob, his teammates, friends, those who shaped him and hearing stories about the positive impact he has made on so many lives. Whether it is in the workforce or in my personal life I am reminded that character and integrity are so valued and I hope to have that same type of impact on those around me like Rob did.

NNHS Experience: Those who know me know I LOVED my high school experience! Looking back at my four years at NNHS, I cannot be more thankful for the mentors I had who are still incredible influences in my life. I would not be where I am today without my amazing coaches and teachers who supported and challenged me throughout high school and beyond. I believe that the values instilled in me throughout high school such as leadership, selflessness, and community spirit shaped who I am and brought me closer to this community.

College Honors: Blue Key Honor Society, Dean William Tate Honor Society

Volunteer & Leadership: President of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, Senior Marshall to Fraternity Standards Board, Young Life Team Leader, U of Georgia Visitor Tour Leader, school tutor at Clarke Middle School & Oconee County High School

Fondest memories of college: Watching the Dawgs beat LSU in an epic game last fall!

Impact of RAK Scholarship: I am so grateful for the RAK scholarship and for the incredible generosity of the Koranda family. They have played a significant role in helping me graduate from college, a time of my life when I learned so much and grew in so many ways.

In high school, I began learning about leadership. I was not a perfect leader then, and I am not a perfect leader now, but the RAK scholarship helped me think about leadership, grow in leadership, and collaborate with other leaders.
